April is Mathematics and Statistics Awareness Month

Mathematics and Statistics Awareness Month is a time to increase understanding and appreciation of mathematics and statistics.

We have several special events and activities planned for this April. 

On Thursday, 6 April 2017, we have a special (nontechnical) lecture on clinical trial by Dr. Daniel Zelterman of Yale University!

We will also have an on-line problem solving competition.  There will be problem sets at several levels ranging from the middle school level to the graduate school level.

Mathematics at Science Day 2015

On Friday, 18 September 2015, the mathematics department and other units in the College of Sciences hosted some 800 visitors from 39 high schools!
