Job Opening: Computational Mathematics

Position

Tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Mathematics.

Responsibilities

Duties will include teaching applied, computational, or other mathematics courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level, conducting research, and engaging in departmental and professional service.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics by August 20, 2023 and a commitment to excellence in research and teaching.

The University

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette, the largest member of the University of Louisiana System, is a public institution of higher education offering bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees. UL Lafayette is one of the two public universities in Louisiana to be designated as a Carnegie Research University with Very High Research activity (R1). The College

The Ray P. Authement College of Sciences consists of academic departments in the disciplines of Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics, a School of Geosciences and a School of Computing and Informatics.

The Department

The Department of Mathematics is one of the largest academic units on the campus. Course offerings range from developmental work in mathematics for freshmen to advanced graduate level courses for doctoral students.
