Classification Of C*-Algebras, Flow Equivalence Of Shift Spaces, And Graph And Leavitt Path Algebras
Classification Of C*-Algebras, Flow Equivalence Of Shift Spaces, And Graph And Leavitt Path Algebras May 11-15, 2015. This is an NSF sponsored conference.
We are working on an agreement with some researchers in Texas and hope to make this an annual event. Check back for further developments.
This conference centered around recent advances in the classification of nonsimple C*-algebras, and their applications to symbolic dynamical systems, graph C*-algebras, and Leavitt path algebras (the algebraic siblings of graph C*-algebras). This is a rich subject, displaying a beautiful interplay between operator algebras, K-theory, ring theory, symbolic dynamics, and graph theory.
The principal speaker was Søren Eilers and the other plenary speakers were: Pere Ara, Mike Boyle, Toke Meier Carlsen, Lisa Orloff Clark, Ralf Meyer, and Sarah Reznikoff.
