Eight of our undergraduate mathematics students attended the Louisiana/Mississsippi Section of the Mathematical Association of America annual meeting at Louisiana State University at Shreveport (February 25-27, 2016 in Shreveport).

We had two teams (coached by Ross Chiquet) compete in the Student Test Competition . Team A with members John Patterson, Austin Hansen, Alex Fontenot, and Brianna Lawson placed 2nd overall. Team B with members Nick Pyfrom-Day, Rainey Lyons, Bailey Ross, and Alyssa Bienvenu placed 3rd overall.

Rainey Lyons, one of Ross Chiquet's undergraduate research students, placed 2nd overall in the Student Paper Competition.
