Our mathematics instructors Allison Cointot and Christy Sue Langley have published a mathematics of finance textbook. Their e-book is Mathematics of Finance: An Algebraic Approach, Great River Learning, (2021), ISBN: 9781644967928.

Ms. Cointot and Ms. Langley note that financial decisions can impact your future in great and small ways. A seemingly small difference in a financial situation can have long-term effects in either a positive or negative manner. The purpose of their text is to empower students to have confidence in their future financial lives. They begin each section with real life scenarios to emphasize and illustrate the significance of the mathematical concepts under discussion. They use an algebraic approach to financial calculations to aid in the understanding of why and how each piece of information affects a financial decision.
