Master's in Mathematics
With a master’s in mathematics from UL Lafayette, you can advance your knowledge of applied mathematics, pure mathematics, or statistics through program concentrations plus be introduced to independent study and research. Many of our students who earn their master's degree in mathematics choose to pursue their doctorate in mathematics immediately after.
Once you've completed your master's in mathematics, you'll be prepared to pursue your PhD, teach mathematics at the secondary or college levels, and to work in many different industries or as a researcher.

Requirements for Mathematics Master's Students
With our master’s in mathematics program, you can pursue a concentration in applied mathematics, pure mathematics, or statistics, and you can choose to do so with either a thesis- or non-thesis-track option.
Most of our students complete the master’s in mathematics program in two years with a full course load each semester.
